Recently, in Tweens Group, we talked about how
God always brings rainbows after the rain and how
he always comforts us after our pain. We read
poems on rain and then we decided to have a poem
contest. Because the poems were all so good, we
could not decide on a winner, instead we thought
we would share them with you.
Rain by God
by Anna Jollay
Star casting: God, rain, snow, sun, thunder
God created three weathers to show our feelings.
A sunny day is happy. A thunderstorm is mad, and
a rainy day is sad. A rainy day is really the saddest
day ever. But it has it’s differences. It’s sound is
soothing to calm you down and it is there to cry
with you when you need it to. It is very exciting to
watch and wait for on a very cold day. It helps
cheer you up if it forms snow. God’s creation is
exciting and both sad and happy. As I enjoy the
rain, you might as well too.
Rainy Day
by Erika Wilson
We all know rain brings sad and gloom
it is the angels in heaven crying
for what God did to save us all
We must worship these days of rain.
We shall be happy to know
that the rain is not cries for help,
but cries of joy!
We should have fun and be happy
and grateful on rainy days!
I Like Rain / I Like Reign
by Samantha Jollay
I like rain
I like rain when it falls on my face
I like rain
It feels like God’s grace
I like reign
I like when God reigns down on me
I like reign
Little Raindrops
by Jennifer Bowers
Little raindrop falling here and there,
Little raindrop falls everywhere.
Little raindrop has such fun,
while the children try to run.
Little raindrop goes drip drop
falling in the rain.
Little raindrop goes pop!
He has watered the plants and filled the lakes.
He has brought water to all the people.
Little raindrop gave his life.
He is very brave.
So the next time it rains
think of all the brave little raindrops
falling in the reign of God.
