Elderly Poor Need Your Help

I have recently learned about some of the needs of our Mountain View Personal Care Home, started in 1882 as the "poor farm", later called the "alms house". This is sort of an unauthorized appeal but I believe that you, too, might want to become aware of this service we have had in DeKalb for 116 years as well as to know about its existence and needs.

They have many needs and maybe you and your friends can help. It is a residence for the elderly indigent of DeKalb and they need our help.

Here is what they need: active volunteers needed for several functions; board members; entertainment, recreation, crafts, accountant, marketing expert, etc. Donations of money to supplement the income of this 501-c-3 charity are welcome. Send your tax deductible donations to: Karen Dodson, Administrator, MVPCH, 3675 Kensington Rd., Decatur,Ga. 30032. For more information go to www.atlantapersonalcare.com or call me.
