Sit Down with a Stranger,
Stand Up with a Friend
Monday Night Meals for the Community
On the first Monday of the month from 5:45 - 7 pm,
organizer and “chef” Kim Lewis along with many
volunteers will cook a dinner for the Tucker area
folks who wish to attend. This opportunity in for
anyone who wishes to attend and is free. Every
community needs a time and place to come together.
This is especially true during these challenging days.
What better way to do this than with warm food
around tables in friendship and laughter and new
connections, networking with and befriending people
who one did not even know before the dinner?
Won’t you join us?
If you were here on February 7th, you experienced
the ideal of what it can become. We had a full house
that encompassed the needy, the community and the
church. Volunteers were hopping in the kitchen to
make it a success. The miracle of dividing fish and
loaves held true as at least well over 80 people were
served. Every seat was taken and some were used
twice. To God be the glory!
There are ways you can get involved and help: By
coming to greet our guest and to escort them to
tables, to make sure the church mixes in with the
community and makes them feel welcome, by
contributing to cover the cost, by handing out
church info after the meal as they leave, by cooking,
by helping in the kitchen or doing clean up duty.
Just call or contact Kim or Rev. Kathy.
