HondurasHonduras Outreach Inc. offers weeklong mission trips to the Agalta valley in northeastern Honduras.For the last six or seven years LRUMC has taken a group of volunteers to Honduras and conducted repair/building projects, sewing instruction, medical clinics and education opportunity (VBS in a primary school). LRUMC is also involved in the Honduran Outreach Scholarship Program. The Honduran Outreach Scholarship Program enables children in the Agalta Valley to continue schooling beyond the sixth grade. One year’s tuition ranges from $250 to $500 per year and without assistance is beyond the means of most Hondurans. LRUMC members are currently sponsoring approximately six children.
